Personal Growth: Fear and Love The Fear Reaction

The fear reaction may have with it a sense of inadequacy. Feeling inadequate, we may hurt ourselves and others?

Instead, if we act out of honest self-esteem, our true self-interest and talent, everyone will benefit.

When we act on the fear of inadequacy, we may act in a manner of disregard for other people’s feelings and welfare.

How Do We Cause Harm?

We may cause harm to someone in order to make ourselves look good? This can be an obvious act of violence or a subtle thing, such as a helpful comment veiled in legitimacy but resulting as insult.

Awareness Brings Control

Be aware of fear. Be aware of acting out of fear. This is not as easy as it sounds. We may be in the habit of acting out of fear and not know it?

Are we cynical? Do we feel insecure? How do we act? When we get angry, do we hurt other people or ourselves?

As we know our fear, we gain control and make a better life.
