The magic words, “I love you,” can rarely be spoken too much. They carry the power of enhancement: giving grace to both the speaker and receiver.
Some people rarely, if ever, hear these words or have heard these words growing up. These simple words, when spoken with meaning, can change the course of lives.
For a child who never hears, “I love you,” at home, a sincere neighbor’s voice saying these words can make a lasting impression. The child no longer feels alienated, but starts to feel a part of life, that he or she has a place.
The effect of the words, “I love you,” never seems to change. No matter what our age, we always need to hear and say, “I love you.” This makes us part of the world, and makes the world belong to us. The words, “I love you,” give us strength and hope for new beginnings. The words, “I love you,” tell us why we are here.
