Qi Gong History
Qi Gong is about 3 to 4,000 years old, perhaps more? It was used as a method of defense, fighting and healing in ancient China.
Most martial arts can be traced back to Qi Gong. Tai Chi is a popular martial art today that is half exercise and half Qi Gong.
Imagine a day in China, thousands of years ago … exhausted warriors were returning from battle. Some men had been lost, others were injured. Qi Gong was an essential part of their lives.
Qi Gong was used as a fighting and defensive system, assisting these soldiers in battle. When the men returned from fighting, Medical Qi Gong allowed them to heal from physical wounds and emotional trauma.
Beyond battle and self defense, Qi Gong was used for spiritual growth and physical immortality. In advanced Qi Gong, a fully well body and mind have no death.
