Find Your Best

To find our wonderful core, the feelings and thoughts at the centre of who we are, we need to be calm and take our time. We need to be still and at peace, gently aware.

Below is a Qi Gong exercise to take you to your core, to give you peace and calm.

Qi Gong for Peace and Calm

This exercise is formally called “Qi Gong Warm-up.” We use it as a warm-up for all our Qi Gong exercises or a stand-alone technique for instant grounding and calm.

I personally use this more than any other Qi Gong technique; it’s simple and effective.

Text to Qi Going Exercise

• Sit quietly and rest; breathe easy.
• Be calm, and close your eyes.
• With your eyes closed, look to the tip of your nose, as if you could see. Be gentle—go slowly.

Imagine you can see a ruby-red arc ⤵⤵
going out from the tip of your nose
and curving back into your heart.

• Hold this thought, and gently visualize.
• See this ruby-red arc ⤵⤵ going from the tip of your nose to your heart.
• Look through your closed eyelids, as if you could see.

• Say to yourself, “Eyes to nose, nose to heart.”
• Visualize a ruby-red arc ⤵⤵ going out from your nose and curving back to your heart.
• Relax, breathe and hold this thought.

• Look down your body as if you could see through your closed eyelids, and look to your feet.
• Imagine you are strongly rooted to the earth, about 10 feet deep, as the roots of a tree.
• Do this exercise for a few minutes. Imagine the feeling of your strong and peaceful core being grounded and at ease. Imagine this again.

With this exercise, you gain strength and peace.

No Secret Formula

This exercise is not a secret formula, but something you can easily do. The exercise will help you build peace and awareness—strength and ease.

With Qi Gong, you develop your own inner ability, and join with the strength of the world.

But you are not actually joining anything, you’re simply becoming aware of your own perfect corewhere there is strength, ease and peace.

In the exercise above, our strength and ability join with the strength and ability of the world.
