A short article, and exercise, on the importance of balance for immortal life.

An Hour before Dawn

The sky slowly lightens.

The hour before dawn is not the darkest, instead it’s time for something new.

As sunrise nears, life is revealed as a balance – not totally dark or fully bright. For a moment, there’s equilibrium.

When you can, rise early, at least an hour before the sunrise, and observe the darkness. Look into the black and notice the stars.

Take the Lead

In this pre-dawn, as sky appears, let yourself be led by the morning.

Calmly observe, as if you were nature itself. Let your thoughts go, and watch the night transform.

As the day rises, notice the moment when it is neither dark nor light, but somewhere in between, a balance. See this balance within you. Take this balance into your day.

Eternal in this World

An immortal life is in balance, not reacting, but eternal in this world.

With immortality, we’re at the core of who we are, letting the world be.

Lasting life happens, not by the use of will, but with agreement.

Self will alone can lead to a dangerous place. Selfishness can hack good intent, and turn to predation.

Cooperation is best. It’s rare we must disagree.

Agreement Gives Us Victory!

A world of mortality — hardship, pain and death — is out of balance and not in agreement with much.

On any given day, we can be at war with the world and ourselves, acting contrary to our best interests … but there’s a better choice.

We can end the struggle.

We can cease fighting anyone and anything; when we do, there’s no conflict within us or with the world. Resultingly, there’s no place for hardship, suffering and death.

Disagreement, life-fighting-life, is the cause of a failing world.

Immortality and growth require cooperation, love and tolerance.

Agree with, tolerate and love yourself.

Live forever; happy, joyous and free.

Get to the immortal core of life.
