Fear and Joy

December 14th, 2009 No comments

Fear can be a tricky companion:  In the short term, fear and misgiving keep us away from danger.  In the long term, fear and misgiving keep us away from life.

When it does not serve you, when it does not help—walk away from fear.  Let resentment go.

We are in control.  Fear is meant to be a tool and an aide, to inform us of trouble.  When there is no trouble, when the reason for fear has gone,  let it go,  least fear grow to misinformed decision and perceptions that are not true.

Move beyond your fear by choosing to do so;  let resentment go.  Do not feel again a fear that does not serve you. Speak to the fear of your life as you would speak to an innocent child—comfort it. Tell this fear there is no longer danger;  it can relax and return to the comfort of home.

You are in control.  Fear is yours to use as a tool of information.  If fear is held too long, fear can misinform.  Take control; let fear go when it has served its purpose.

Be free to feel yourself again: The joy, the ease and pleasure of life.  It is always yours and who you are. Be free to feel yourself.

Beneath the stress and strain of life, who we are is always joy.

Chose How You Think

There is no requirement that we believe everything we think.

  • Anger and fear are designed to produce “life-saving” behavior in a crisis situation.
  • If anger and fear continue for the long-term, they produce flawed thinking.
  • Examine your motives and the cause of your thoughts.
  • Do your thoughts serve you well; do your thoughts serve life?

Chose how you think.

Our Mind

Our mind is often wrong, and sometimes right. There is a greater way to comprehend that exists beyond thinking.
